PMC CLASSES

Introduction to PMC

One Day Class

The introductory or Beginners Class teaches the basics. You will learn to create several pieces of jewelry from start to finish in this one day class. An overview of the different types of PMC will be explained in addition to numerous examples of the potential of Precious Metal Clay. The tools needed to complete the class will be provided.  Class size is limited to 8 students. You will have fun in this class, as you turn your ideas into fine silver jewelry.

  (Fee includes Precious Metal Clay needed to complete projects.)

PMC Level I Certification

2 Day Class

This PMC Connection Certification section 1 is a comprehensive two day class that teaches specific techniques using the 4 types of PMC+ and PMC3 Click for enlargement - Fired in a Sierra Kiln,Created using Cork Clay PMC Plus, this Tear Vessel is 2 inches tall and is pure fine silver. by Tieke(clay type, paste, syringe and sheet. The class systematically takes the student from simple to more complex projects.  The goal of the class is to make the student comfortable with silver clay techniques for making, firing and finishing, using 5 different projects.

The techniques are very specific but the students are allowed room for personal creativity in their designs.  This understanding of PMC+ and PMC3 will offer a solid base for the student to begin to use PMC more extensively.  Prior PMC classes are encouraged but not required.  We encourage students who successfully complete the course to teach general PMC classes, demonstrate and share this new experience.

 

The class fee includes 2 packs of PMC3, 1 package of PMC3 paste, 1 PMC3 syringe, 1 PMC Plus Sheet. It also includes a copy of "Introduction to PMC" by Mary Ann Devos; a PMC tool kit and, a one year membership in the National PMC Guild; and of course the three days of instruction with Senior Teacher, Leslie Tieke.

PMC Certification Level 2

2 Day Class

The PMC Connection Certification Section 2 is another two day class.  It presents advanced techniques using the 4 types of PMC+ and PMC3 (clay type, paste, syringe and sheet).  The workshop is open to those who have completed basic Certification in PMC or Art Clay Silver.  The class systematically takes the student from the projects of Section 1 to even more complex projects.  The more advanced understanding of PMC will offer an expanded base for the student to use PMC more extensively.  We encourage students who successfully complete the course to teach general PMC classes, demonstrate and share this new experience.

Enamel on PMC

Two Day Class

This class is open to students of all levels of PMC experience. Students will focus on bringing the joy of color to PMC projects. Techniques of Enameling on PMC will be presented and class projects  approach the combining these two great mediums. The beauty of the silver will become enhanced by the proper placement of enamel for color. Students will take polymer clay to new levels, as they bring the element of fine silver to the colorful polymer clay. We will walk on the new ground of possibilities as we combine PMC with color in this class.

PMC,  Enamels, and Polymer Clay are included. Additional PMC can be purchased  at a discount.

PMC Charms

Half Day Class

This class will teach students the techniques of working with PMC silver and gold. The learning process will focus on projects that create wonderful holiday gifts. Plan to take this class in November and make those special people on your list a truly unique gift of fine silver and gold! You can relax from the holiday rush in the beauty of the mountains and even finish up on the rest of your shopping at the many area outlet stores. You will return home with you creative spirit fresh and your gift list complete.
